Hi everyone! I have a great tip today just in time for your holiday baking.
You can use pennies as pie weights. My mom just learned what that is….every time she makes a crust for the chocolate cream pie, it has bubbles on the bottom. I hope she tries this.
You just put the pie crust in the bottom ( use your imagination, I didn’t have a crust for the photo).
Then you put parchment paper or aluminum foil over it and line it with pennies, then bake as usual. They will hold it down so it won’t bubble. I recommend washing the pennies first even though there is a layer protecting the crust.
