Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful for all of your kind words of support on my family’s recent loss. I am blessed to have such wonderful friends.

I am also thankful that Trouble’s spay surgery went well. When I picked her up, she didn’t look very good and her tongue was hanging out of her mouth, but she perked up a few hours later. Also thankful that her FELV/FIV test was negative.

She wasted no time stealing her Dad’s chair. She is so affectionate and sweet too, I don’t think Trouble is going to be much trouble.

Here is our poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day. We had to write a poem based on this photo.

Wrinkles and creases
each one could tell a story
of a life well lived.

We are taking the week off from The Friendly Fill-Ins, but we will be back next week. Tomorrow I will be starting the giveaway for all The A-Z Blogging challenge crocheted items. I will divide all the items between 2 winners.

  2. How clever of you to be able to write haikus! Our Human doesn’t think She could limit herself to 17 words, let alone 17 syllables (mol).
We are furry glad Trouble’s spay surgery went well. Now she is a fully-fledged member of the Family.
    WELCOME, Little One!

  3. Trouble sounds like a sweetie! My human says that as a writer, she uses WORDS to tell the story of her life. She doesn’t need no stinkin’ wrinkles, MOL!

  4. All of us were sad about your family’s loss and we hope that you feel all the hugs we’ve been sending! Your poem is FABULOUS and much like ours in its’ message – Angel Sammy sent us a great photo didn’t he? So happy to hear Trouble got a good blood test AND is recovering from her surgery too. She is so CUTE and I think she will NOT be living up to her name (!!!).

Hugs on HUG YOUR CAT DAY
    Love, Teddy

  6. So glad to see all of you back. Still sending lots of purrs for your loss. And thanks for the pictures of Trouble. She sure sounds like such a good addition to the family. You all have a terrific day.

  7. It’s good to see you back. You were missed. And we continue to send soft pawhugs your way, and to your family too. Trouble, you are endlessly adorable! But it doesn’t sound like she was reallllly ready to be released, if her tongue was lolling. PS: Good work, claiming the chair.

  8. I’ve been thinking of you and often throughout each day. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.

I’m so glad Trouble is okay and her test came out negative. She’s a cutie pie.

Have a blessed day, my friend. Scritches to all the babies. β™₯

  9. It sounds like Trouble will be a purrfect fit in the family. She is gorgeous, too! And your haiku fits this photo so, so well. The haiku has never been my strong point, but you sure are fantastic with them.

there is much going on in that man’s mind, he looks quite thoughtful.

Glad Trouble got her vet stuff done and that she is doing well. Now she can’t get into *that* kind of trouble…
How sweet that she has wormed her way into her new Dad’s life by taking over his chair:)

And glad you are back after some time off. Sending good thoughts and many hugs.

  12. I am glad Trouble is OK. I would worry myself sick and I know I miss my old vet at times like that, he was such a great guy.

    * hugs from us * We are here if you need us, OK? NO time limit, just holler.
