Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! I am joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I got to see my Grammie on Wednesday, I love her so very much.

I am thankful that when Mom brought me to the vet Tuesday, they didn’t steal my blood. I just got a B-12 injection and an anti-nausea one. Mom talked to the vet about those and being that they are safe, I can get them every 14 days. The vet checked me and I wasn’t dehydrated so I didn’t need fluids like the last time.

I am thankful for The Crotchety Cougar Club, a place where all my older  lady friends and I can complain. Please read about it on Kali’s blog. And please pray for Kali because she hasn’t been feeling well. I am thankful that we gained two more members this week ( they are not listed yet on Kali’s post, but will be added soon).

I am also joining Sammy’s Poetry Day featuring the letter F.

Some say family has to be blood
I tell them to jump in the mud
My folks and I don’t share DNA
but for my health they always pray
Brody may drive me nuts
but I love that little putz
Family are those that love you
no matter what you do

Brody and Prancie are pretty chummy

And here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for week 63. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two.

1. My favorite thing on my daily to-do list is ________________________.

2. My least favorite thing on my daily to-do list is ________________________

3. I could really do without                           .

4. I would love to have more                                    .

  1. I love your poem – none of us here are related, but we are all family, and closer than blood family for sure!

    1. I want to read your frog poem, but the link didn’t take me to it. 🙁

  2. That is a sweet poem and I agree with you. True family has nothing to do with bloodlines and everything to do with heartlines.

You’re all such sweet and pretty kitties. 🙂

    Have a blessed day!

  3. Such a wonderful poem today for “F”! Family is very impawtant – we take care of each other through thick and thin. We are lucky to have family as some have none. Your “thankfuls” are right on too! We are hoping Kali feels better soon…..all that smoke from the fires up their way probably doesn’t HELP anyone feel good – it’s bad to breathe that all the time…….we hope for an end to the fires there and everywhere – fires are so scary. Anyway, nice to see Prancie and Brody being BUDDIES!

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. Love the poem. Family is very important but so are really good friends. They are like family too. Have a great day.

  5. Phoebe, we’re glad your blood didn’t have to be stolen when you were at the vet. We want you to feel well. Hopefully, those two shots help. You look so adorable in your hat. Your poem is truly the best!

Brody and Prancie indeed look chummy!

  6. I am so glad those vampires didn’t steal your blood this time, Phoebe. And though I know I’ve already said it, I am loving this idea of The Crotchety Cougar Club. How fun it must be! Now this human simply has to ask, Phoebe – where did you get that Kitty Monroe art you’re posing with? It’s pretty darn pawsome, and even looks like you! Oh, and fantastic poem (does Brody know you called him a putz?)!

    1. Thank you. Mom found that Kitty Monroe on Pinterest so she printed it out and framed it- she thought it looked like me. 🙂

  7. Nice poem, and the sentiment couldn’t be more true. We like your hat! You and Brian are very cool.

I love the family poem. That’s spot on.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your mom. ☺

  11. We enjoyed your poem too! I am sure glad all went okay at the vet place. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  12. Phoebes…aren’t you feeling well, honey? Sorry to hear that, but shots are just like giving blood…needles! ICKY! Hope you feel better soon. But, it’s obvious that you’ve gone soft on Brody.

  15. That poem made me laugh so hard! You are right, family might be crazy, but we love them anyway.

    1. That is what I said, I think I had too much nip when I wrote the poem 🙂 XO

  16. Phoebe, we’re glad you are doing okay and the vet didn’t steal your bloods. We get B12 shots too…the mom gives them to us. She says it’s real easy to do and we don’t even feel it when she does.

  17. Phoebe my sis-in-crotchiness,

We are very fortunate to gave Ali and Sarabi as new members. I haven’t felt like doing much but will very shortly. What an awesome poem. Light yet so true…we are not blood but we treat each other as more than family. We are one when we’re all together.

    Proud to be Crotchety,

    1. I hope you feel better soon. Yes, we are all family my fellow crotchety cougar. XO

  18. I’m a little concerned that your Crochety Cougars Club is a big jinx. I realize all members are 15+ but everyone seems to be getting sick since it’s been formed. Healing purrz for everyone.

    1. I said that to Kali’s Mom, I felt like I was jinxing everyone with our hats. We will pray for everyone;s health. XO

  19. Phoebe, it sounds as if you had a good vet visit.Yippee! You are adorable in your red hat. Mom still has to get a better photo of Lily in hers. We cannot wait to find out who the new members are of the Crotchety Cougars Club. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

    1. Thank you 🙂 Our group is getting bigger, we will have lots of fun. XO Phoebes

  20. Thank you for coming to visit us. I am glad you had a good visit with the vet. You sure look cool n that red hat.
