Friendly Fill-Ins Week 10

Hi everyone! Today is Friendly Fill-In day, but Mom said I could show you some cards that I got yesterday. I also want to thank everyone for the sweet comments you left for me. My Purrince wrote me 2 poems, I will post those on Sunday. Thank you all, I feel so loved even though my Grammie didn’t visit me. She did call and I will see her Saturday, I love her so very much.

PHOEBECARD2016 Thank you Sammy

Happy Birthday Phoebe Thank you Toby and family

And thank you Purrseidon and family for the musical Jacquie Lawson card you sent me. I even got a Sloppy Kisses e-card from the veterinarian hospital.

Now it is fill-in time, Mom came up with the first 2 and our friend, Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second 2. Mom is letting me answer too- my answers are in parentheses, Mom’s are in Capitals.

Week 10, July 18, 2016:
1. I prefer ________________ to ________________.
2. ____________________ was much harder than I expected.
3. One way that I relax is                                    .
4.                always makes me                     .
Our Answers:
1. I prefer COFFEE I MAKE AT HOME ( All other cats) to STARBUCKS AND DUNKIN DONUTS (Brody).
2. RIDING A BICYCLE AFTER NOT RIDING ONE IN OVER 20 YEARS ( Not seeing Grammie on my birthday) was much harder than I expected.
3. One way that I relax is SPENDING TIME WITH MY CATS ( Napping in the bottom bunk bed which has a sheet over the front and is like a tent- except when the pawparazzi strikes).

4. GETTING GOOD NEWS FROM THE VET LIKE YESTERDAY WHEN I WAS TOLD SAMMYS CALCIUM IS NORMAL SO THE FOOD IS WORKING ( Seeing Grammie) always makes me HAPPY ( Happy)!
I am still working on getting the code to work on here, if you can’t link up here though, you will always be able to at McGuffy’s Reader.

  1. Phoebe, you are a lucky girl.

I am so very happy to hear about Sammy’s results! It is good that he likes CD. Most cats do; ours do not.

Thanks for hosting Friendly Fill-Ins with me! HUGS!

  2. Sammy, you are doing great. Glad you like the food and its working. We prefer cheap food that is not good for us but it tastes so good. Drives mom crazy. Part of why we like the cheap stuff.
Phoebe you have such class, we indeed remember you on your Gotcha Day.

The answers for the fill-ins were right on.

    Shoko

  3. These are all such great answers, both from the mom and Phoebe! I am completely with you on what a great feeling #4 is, and I am so happy that Sammy is doing well! Your #3 is, of course, purrfect. I always look forward to this challenge on Fridays, and thank you so much for hosting it! Purrs!

  4. I’m sorry your birth day had to have such a terrible attack at the end of it.
    Insanity in this world.
But love from Loulou, all the same. I hope you got my poem for you.

    • I am sorry too. We live in a crazy world, we are lucky to have good families though. Thank you, I will share your poem on Sunday too. Love, Phoebes XO

  5. Awww I’m sorry that you didn’t get to see Grammie on your birthday. Maybe she’ll be able to come see you very soon. I know it won’t be the same, but it will make that day a great one for sure. 🙂

I’m trying to figure out the linky issue, too. I am able to make them work on PS Annie! (not a WP blog), but I don’t think that I’ve ever been able to get them to work here on WordPress. When I first had trouble putting your code on my blog a while back, it was because there was an extra word in the code. Once I removed that, the code worked on PS Annie! However, I do not see anything extra in the code that is showing on your page now. Sometimes the issue is the quotation marks and removing the ones in the original code with fresh ones fixes the problem. Once I get back home, I will test that out and let you know what happens. Have a blessed day!

  6. Grandparents are so very special, i hope you get to enjoy your Grammie for a very long time to come. Loved the human and Phoebe answers!

  7. Fun Fill-in answers AND I think our link entered your linky-link this time too! YAY! Glad you liked your card Phoebe….sorry I was a day late though. I’m also very happy to hear Sammy’s calcium level is GOOD after he started his new food……………… 🙂

    Hugs, Sammy

    • I am glad the link worked for you, we enjoyed your answers- as always :). You were not late, you were right on time with my card. XO

  8. Sammy, we are so glad that you got good results at the vet. That is always such a relief. We also like your fill ins a lot. You all have a great day.

  9. I am happy the results at the vet were great, too, Sammy. I’m sorry I didn’t say that in the other comment. 🙂

About the code, David and I have both tested it. After replacing all of the quotation marks, using Firefox, I tested the code in WordPress and Blogger. Both blogging platforms changed the code. David tested it on Blogger using Google Chrome. Again, the platform changed the code. In Google Chrome, he tested it by creating an HTML file, and the linky thing shows up just like it should there. So, with the replaced quotation marks, there is nothing wrong with the code. The problem is the blogging platforms both are changing the code, making it not work for us. Annie has it working on her blog, which is Blogger, so we know that it CAN work. This is very puzzling!

We’ll keep trying to see what could be going wrong and will let you know if we come up with an answer. Have a blessed day. 🙂

    • Sammy and I thank you. Thank you for trying to fix this problem. I am glad the code works for my co-host so everyone can link on there.

  10. Hello again.

After a few more changes, I was able to get it to work on Blogger, but WP is still changing the code. For Blogger, I had to change the single dashes that are at the beginning and end of the start and end LinkyTools script to three dashes, in addition to replacing the quotation marks. It is now working fine on my PS Annie! post, but still not working on McClendon Villa (WP). WordPress is removing all of the code between the start and end LinkyTools script.

    • I am not sure what to do because my wordpress is hosted by GoDaddy and when I called them, they said this wasn’t part of what they help with. SO frustrating. Thank you for trying.

  11. Good Sammy news…Yay! Just thinking about riding a bike is making my hips ache, but I think it would be fun to get out there and feel the wind in my face. Phoebe, your Grammie will visit soon, and you’ll be happy again!

  14. I am deeply grateful about Sammie! VERY VERY! I know what that is like. Admiral passed from it.

I love fill ins. I like MY homemade coffee best as well. I dislike strong espresso-like coffees. xoxox

  15. Hurrah Sammy!!!! Wee are so -o happy here!!!

  16. I definitely prefer coffee made a home to Starbuck’s or DD. Good fill-ins. You can find my at the bottom of my Friday post, if you’d like to pop over. 😉 Have a good weekend!

  17. TW never makes coffee at home cos she’s the only one who drinks it. she loved Dunkin Donuts.
    1. I prefer biting________________ to cuddling________________.
    2. Blogging____________________ was much harder than I expected.
    3. One way that I relax is biting Pop or TW. .
    4. Chinese food always makes me happy. .

    • Great answers, I am surprised you thought blogging was hard. My hubby drinks a lot of coffee too, but even if he didn’t, I would still make it at home.

  18. Brody and you, I understand it is difficult. You should explain to your mom that your house is not a TARDIS, it can limit only so many cats. Maybe she will understand the hint and if not you can always talk about personal space. Tell her that you need a lot of personal space, most of the time that works.

    Love and purs,
    Billy The Time Cat

  19. I am finally here to read and comment. What a month this has turned out to be! I loved the double set of answers, that made me smile! 🙂 I am not a fan of coffee of any kind, it makes me puky, but I love tea both hot and cold! The high prices of specialty drinks nowadays amazes me – a $5 coffee! I love all kitty’s without exception, even ones that can be a bit grumpy or wild. I haven’t ridden a bicycle, other than the stationary kind, in years and years and years. I doubt it would be easy for me either! Oh yes, purring cats are the most relaxing thing of all, awesome therapy! I join everyone in being so happy to hear of your good Vet report. What a relief for you!

    • Thank you, I was very happy to hear a good vet report. I like tea too, but I drink a lot more coffee. I love all cats too 🙂

  20. I also relax by spending time with my cats! Although I’ve also heard that walking with pets can be very helpful. Not sure if that works the same for cats as it does for dogs though!
