Hopping Saturday

Hi everyone! Thank you to all who participated in the Friendly Fill-Ins Blog Hop yesterday. It is open until next Thursday, then we will do it again. For anyone that doesn’t have a blog, you can still put your answers in the comments- we want to get to know all the readers.

I let Phoebe make the art this week for Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop– can you tell?

Keepcalm  Caturday Art

She used photofunia, there is an explanation on there about the Keep Calm signs. I thought they were fairly new, but they were started by the British Government in 1939. You can read about it by clicking here.

We are also joining Rascal and Rocco’s Pet Parade this week too:

Pet Parade blog hop linky party is for all pets and animal lovers.

And we have a photo of the usually invisible Brody:

DSCF1288 He has been exploring more. He usually takes off the minute he hears the camera turn on. He still doesn’t have any friends here, but there is a lot less hissing lately.

  1. Brody found the open window for good sniffs!!
Good to know the hissing is less, the others might have decided it wasn’t worth their time since he is going to be staying in the furmily.

Meanwhile just keep calm!! MOL!We didn’t know that story…that explains the crown though. Hey, Phoebe put in a heart!!

    • Phoebe thanks you. Brody is finally getting braver and not darting through rooms, I think that was scaring the other cats. XO

  2. Poor Brodie, not having any friends! Boodie was very shy when she came to live here, at least around the humans, but she and Binga were pals right away.

  3. Nice to see Brody! At least he’s feeling more like exploring and trying to fit in. You’d think with a house full of kitties, someone would decide to “let him in” with the family. If he can be patient maybe it will happen so he will have some friends……..he’s sure a handsome boy. Happy weekend!

    Hugs, Sammy

  4. Sweet Brody! He’ll make friends once he becomes more comfy around the other kitties. Mom is hoping to get a photo of the she MerryBelle today. Maybe one day Brody and MerryBelle can be boy/girlfriends! They’re both shy, grey and secretly sweet. Love the sign, Phoebe – thanks for the background info on it!! Pawkisses to all!!

  5. I’m always intrigued by these “Keep Calm” signs. I love seeing what all unique sayings are used, such as this adorable one, Phoebe! And I love seeing that Brody is still exploring more. It may be slow going, but he’s making progress. Purrs!

    • Phoebe is glad you like her sign 🙂 Yes, it is slow, but at least things are going in the right direction.

    • Phoebe says thank you. I feel bad for Brody, like that little pony in the commercial for Amazon where the lady orders a doggie door.

  8. We are happy to hear that Brody is getting out more. We hope someone will be his friend soon. Everyone should have at least one friend…

That is interesting…the fact that the Keep Calm slogans came out in the 30’s . We will check out why. Thanks for providing the link!

the critters in the cottage xo

    • I would be Brody’s friend, but so far , no luck. He does meow at me now to hurry with his meals so that is a good step.XO
