3. I always cry at weddings during the father/daughter dance. Especially when they dance to I Loved Her First. I was blessed that my Dad was still alive when I got married and despite us both being shy we managed to dance to Daddy’s Little Girl. This song came out later:

Phoebe Friday

Hi everyone! Sorry I am a day late. Before I get started, Mom wants to thank you all for the words of encouragement and tips you shared to help Spooky. We appreciate all your comments, purrs and prayers. So far Spooky is responding to fluids and eating- not as well as he used to, but he is eating. We pray that he will improve more daily. He will get retested in 2 weeks. His numbers were very bad: Amylase was 2195 ( normal range is 100-1200), Creatinine was 7 (0.6-2.4 is normal) and Phosphorous was 12.3 ( normal is 2.4-8.2).

Spooky got to go outside yesterday. He was very happy and headed straight to the catnip. He was a neighborhood cat, always outside until we brought him in 2 and a half years ago.

See you Sunday when I will be starting my Easter Giveaway.

The One-Of-A-Kind Cat Book

Another sad week in The Blogosphere. I am sure most of you already know that Jan’s Sam passed from complications of his stroke. Sam, Forever

I have a book review today and I am also joining The Lazy Pit Bull’s new blog hop. The Pet Blogger Bloopers Round-Up.

010Here is a blooper of Phoebe- she still looks cute though.

Now for that review. The One-Of-A-Kind-Cat Book by Ciye Cho is a picture book for adults. Perfect timing for something like this being that adult coloring books are so popular, why not picture books too?

The author gave me a free e-book for an honest review. In all honesty, I am not a fan of fiction, but these were just cute little stories so I enjoyed them. I love all the paintings that illustrate the book as well. It is 127 pages with 30 incredibly different stories and over 50 paintings. This is the perfect little book to help you relax. It is only available as an e-book right now, but I hope it becomes a printed book because I would love a copy. It is a bargain at  $3 and is currently a free download on the author’s website. I don’t know when the free offer expires so hurry.

See you tomorrow for more hopping.

Saturday

Happy Saturday everyone! We had a wonderful Christmas and were honored to have a guest, Peaches and Paprika’s Mom. My kitties really enjoyed visiting with her and she was so sweet to bring them gifts.

Time to hop. I am sad this is the last week for The Lazy Pit Bull’s #52 Snapshots of Life. If you know of any weekly challenges for 2016, please let me know. I love stuff like that. The theme is “peace” and nothing brings a feeling of peace over me than seeing kitties:

01852 Snapshots of LifeAnd for Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop I went to photofunia and made myself into Santa. I am sure you all saw our Santa photos yesterday with my hubby dressed as Santa. He has been doing that for the past few years. I was thinking I could dress up as Santa this year and have him take the photos so the cats wouldn’t all look like Santa is choking them. Well, that didn’t happen- I am ashamed to say that I couldn’t fit in Santa’s pants 🙁  Needless to say my new year’s resolution is to fit in them for next Christmas- until then, photo editing it is.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I am off to find some half price sales.

Friendly Hopping

Another hopping Saturday. I can’t believe by this time next week, Christmas will already be over. This week for Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop, I used pho.to to make Joanie in her elf costume into a cartoon. I am using this photo for The Lazy Pit Bull’s #52 Snapshots of Life, the theme is “friend” and Joanie is my friend. She is always on my lap or near me and she sleeps with me most night. I am lucky to have so many kitty friends and I am lucky to have all of you cat lovers as my friends as well.

Thank you all for the beautiful cards you have sent us by email and snail mail. I will be doing a post on Christmas Eve to show them all off.

Hopping Saturday

Another sad week in the Blogosphere, Moosey of Animal Shelter Volunteer Life went to Rainbow Bridge. Moosey Forever BADGE220

Moosey’s Mom and Dad have a lovely tribute to this sweet boy on their blog.

Starting off , I am a day late with Follow Friday Four Fill-In Fun. This week’s co-host is OBI from ELOQENT RAMBLES. She came up with ALL THE statements.

Feeling Beachie

The statements:

  1. Being ___ is _____
  2. I _____ to ______
  3. If I could_____ I would _________
  4. I cannot live without _______________

My Answers:

  1. Being A CAT MOM is THE BEST
  2. I LOVE to SPEND TIME WITH MY CATS ( ACTUALLY, ANY CATS)
  3. If I could ICE SKATE I would GO ICE SKATING AT ROCKEFELLER CENTER WITH MY HUBBY
  4. I cannot live without MY CATS

The Lazy Pit Bull’s #52 Snapshots of Life theme this week is “Neighbor”. Spooky was our neighbor’s cat for at least 13 years before we adopted him and made him an inside cat. He used to visit daily for a little snack. I always worried if he would miss a day because there are a lot of coyotes around. I am very happy that Spooky is part of our family now.
