Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

We are thankful that Tallulah and Emmy are both feeling better. I already notice Emmy doing more of her night “hunting” and leaving me toys.I think that means her medicine is making her feel better.

And Mrs. Potato Head is glad she was able to outrun Gremmie. I don’t think she will be gremlin sitting anytime soon.

My Sammy thought he would try a poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day, we had to write one based on this photo:

Cat Scouts is a lot of fun
We go hiking in the sun
We search for a perfect spot
you need to know how to tie a knot
It is good to be near water
we may even see an otter
Time to set up the tent
this will be quite the event.

And here are the Friendly Fill-ins for Friday. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two. Please say a prayer for her cat, Chloe Jo who is battling lymphoma.

Campaign Invites Pet Adopters to be Part of the World’s Largest Photo Mosaic of Adopted Pets and Their People
While Aiming to Raise $3.1 Million to Save Animals

The “Love Changes Everything” Campaign kicks-off March 3 – 4 with a National Adoption Event Weekend in participating Petco and Unleashed by Petco stores and runs through April 1.  But there’s more—this year pet adopters can join the Petco Foundation in creating the world’s largest mosaic mural of adopted pets and their people. Adopters submitting photos at petcofoundation.org/snaplove will be eligible to win daily prizes, along with funding for the adoption organization that introduced them to their pet.

The mosaic, powered in partnership with WholeHearted pet food, will come to life in New York City’s Union Square Park on Sunday, March 25 from noon to 4:00 PM at the All for Love Adoption Rally featuring adoptable pets from more than twenty New York area animal welfare organizations. Attendees can meet MUTTS creator Patrick McDonnell, pose for pictures with the famed MUTTS characters Mooch and Earl and participate in other fun activities centered around celebrating pet adoption.

Animal lovers can support the “Love Changes Everything” campaign by making a donation in any Petco, Unleashed by Petco store or online at petcofoundation.org/love. Anyone who makes a donation of $10 or more will receive a limited-edition tote bag featuring MUTTS artwork specifically designed for the Love Changes Everything campaign.

Hi everyone! We have a Chewy review today. Nutro Wild Frontier Real Chicken & Beef, Real Salmon & Trout Recipe Pate Multipack Adult High-Protein Grain-Free Cat Food Trays don’t contain any artificial flavor, colors or preservatives.

* We received Nutro Wild Frontier Real Chicken & Beef, Real Salmon & Trout Recipe Pate Multipack Adult High-Protein Grain-Free Cat Food Trays in exchange for a fair review, all opinions are our own.

I like the small portion sizes so I don’t have to refrigerate leftovers. I was surprised that everyone wasn’t interested in these though. Emmy dug right in the first time, but refused to eat it again. This is common with her, we call her Miss Pick.Prancie loved it.Brody did too.Sammy thought Prancie needed some help. He loved it, but he is on a prescription food so I just let him have a little.

Penny and Millie wouldn’t try it and KaTwo never eats canned food. I guess 8 out of 12 that liked it is pretty darn good.

If you want to try it, it is on sale at Chewy for $17.89 for 12 twin packs. Click here.

And while you are there, stock up because they always have free 1-2 day shipping on orders over $49.

Hi everyone! Once again poor Penny can’t give you one of her tips. She will be back next Tuesday though.

*Disclaimer-we were given a Catit Lounge Scratcher with Catnip in exchange for a fair review. All opinions are our own.

We chose the “white tiger” pattern. I thought Emmy should try it first being that it matched her.

 She loves it.

Sammy enjoyed it too. He scratched away until I turned my camera on then he just sat there.

Brody did the same thing. It is clearly a hit though. The Catit Lounge Scratcher is sturdy and at 19.5 inches long, it can handle a big boy like Sammy ( 16 pounds). After all 3 tested it, it still looks new. I have had others that were already shedding cardboard pieces after one try. It comes with a package of catnip to sprinkle on it too. It is only $7.99 and don’t forget that Chewy offers fast and free shipping on orders over $49. It always amazes me how quickly my orders arrive, usually less than 24 hours. Sunday Selfies

Hi everyone! Prancie is letting Joanie write today because she wants to talk about her gremlin -again!

  Here is potty

I put Gremmie on potty

then I check

see- he went potty

Is easy to train a gremlin to use potty. Is not easy to find teeny tiny toilet paper.

I needed some me time so I left Gremmie with his Uncle Sammy. I got to read book so I can do review tomorrow.

We are joining The Cat on My Head’s Selfie Sunday Blog Hop.

This is actually a doll potty I bought for “The Great One”, I thought it was cute how you can “flush” to get the blue back. Apparently it wasn’t realistic enough though because she poured water from her sippy cup into it 🙂

Ten Things of Thankful

Hi everyone! We are joining Ten Things of Thankful and Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hops.

Today is Rubber Duckie Day so our art was made at Facein the Hole-

Sammy with rubber duckies

Here are my 10 thankfuls:

  1. Thankful I have room in the attic to store the Christmas tree still standing ( I did remove the ornaments.
  2. free magazines from the library!

every January the town library gives away magazines. I scored some Writing ones, House Beautiful, HGTV, Prevention and some cooking ones too. It looks like I cleaned them out, but there were two tables filled with the, so I barely made a dent.

3. Warmer weather, from negative temps last week to 50’s this week.

4. Hubby was able to take our spiral Christmas trees out of the ground, I really thought they were going to be there until April.

5. Emmy was a meme on Savannah’s blog-click here.

6. Thankful that Angel Phoebe’s Purrince is currently stable, he has IBD.

7.Thankful that Emmy doesn’t need heart meds and her heart is not enlarged.

8. Also thankful that Emmy’s thyorid is fine, I already have 4 cats on thyroid meds.

9. For our ginger girl , Prancie ( yesterday was Kiss a Ginger Day so we gave her lots of kisses).

10. Joanie wants to do the last one-

I iz thankful that Gremmie uses the potty now.

1. I would like to ask_____________________ why _______________________?

3. If I could go to any concert of someone still performing, it would be                        .

4. My Winter pastime is usually                           , because                        .

My answers:
1. I would like to ask Nicolas Cage why he chooses to be in such crappy movies lately?  OK, if I ever get to meet him, I wouldn’t really say that.
2. My favorite fast food restaurant is Burger King, I am actually glad the closest one is 30 minutes away. Wendy’s isn’t bad either, I like their chilli.
3. If I could go to any concert of someone still performing, it would be Rob Thomas. I have been to many concerts over the years, but I have yet to see Rob Thomas or Matchbox 20 which he was a member of.
4. My winter pastime is usually crocheting, because it is more fun to work with yarn when it is cold than when it is too hot.

It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

Hi everyone! Now that the holidays are over and I am trapped in the house due to the cold weather, I have had time to read. We are joining The Book Date’s It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading? , McGuffy’s Reader’s Sparks and Comedy Plus’ Awww…Mondays.

My Spark is a quote from the author of the book I am recommending. Not sure how I have never heard of Joy Mangano, but until I read her book, I had no idea who she was. I like memoirs and reading how people become successful so I got Inventing Joy by Joy Mangano from the library. If you are not familiar with her, she has invented many products and her first was the wonder mop.

Actually, she started inventing things when she was a kid, but didn’t follow through until she was a single mom with three kids. She now has a huge empire and is a permanent feature on HSN. Her story was very interesting and a reminder that no one is an overnight success, years of hard work go into any successful endeavor.

There is a movie about her too with Jennifer Lawrence playing Joy. I haven’t seen it yet, but I ordered it up from the library and hope to pick it up tomorrow. If you are looking for some motivation this year, I highly recommend her book. It is part memoir and part self-help, with several pages of quotes at the end.

My spark for today is on of Joy’s quotes, ” No matter who you are or where you’re from, you have the power to change the world. ”

Sammy wants to know if he looks fat in his sweater?

If you donated to our friend Toby’s dental, we want to thank you for your generosity. And I want to let you know I am mailing all the packages out today( except for one I am waiting for an address on) of the mats and toys. Sorry for the delay, but it took me a while to make everything and then the weather turned bitterly cold. Also thanks to all who shared and are praying it goes well.

One more thing, please purr and pray for McGuffy’s Reader’s Kenzie, The Cat on My Head’s Cooper Murphy ,Timmy Tomcat’s Mr. Buttons and FurEverywhere’s Milita as they are all not feeling well at this time.
