Mewsic Monday

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww…Mondays, and Mewsic Moves Me (hosted by Curious as a Cathy, Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked.)

This week’s theme is songs with numbers in the title.

  1. Goody Two Shoes ( Adam Ant, 1982)- https://youtu.be/27Tj-Xo_eqI
  2. Prince’s 1999 ( 1982  ) – https://youtu.be/rg1UX3HvseQ
  3. Bryan Adams’ Summer 0f 69-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9f06QZCVUHg

I know I used Summer of ’69 before, but I love that song because I was born in the summer of 69.

Prince’s 1999 makes me feel old, I remember when it came out and 1999 seemed so far away. Now it seems so far away from the other side of it.

I chose Goody Two Shoes because I tap danced to that song in a dance recital many years ago.

And Joanie and Prancie have a spark for today:

“A best friend is like a four leaf clover, hard to find, lucky to have.”

Go to Sleep Sheep

Hi everyone!  Today we are joining It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading? The kiddy lit version hosted by Teacher Mentor Texts and Unleashing Readers.

*Disclosure: I received this book for free as part of The Book Look Bloggers book review program. I am not required to write a positive review, all opinions are my own.

I was a little reluctant to read Go to Sleep Sheep to my great-niece because her parents are having trouble getting her to go to sleep. I thought this was going to give her ideas to extend her time awake like needing a snack and wanting to play. So far, it has not caused a problem and she enjoyed the story.

Go to Sleep Sheep by Thomas Nelson and Illustrated by Sydney Hanson is an adorable board book with the cutest illustrations. I like how it introduces thankfulness and prayer to young children. The sheep bow their heads and say their prayers, ” God, thank You for this day! ”

This book is for young children, ages 2-5. It just touches on being thankful and saying a prayer. Hopefully, it will get children asking about these things and wanting to learn more. One is never too young to be thankful.

It makes a great bedtime story for kids and kitties.

*Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers <http://booklookbloggers.com> book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255 <http://www.access.gpo.gov/nara/cfr/waisidx_03/16cfr255_03.html> : “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

Hi everyone!  You are probably wondering why we are doing a third Chewy review this month when two is usually the limit. This was a separate offer from Only Natural Pet to test one of their products as their line is new to Chewy.

*Disclaimer: We were given a bag of Only Natural Pet Feline PowerFood Rabbit Dinner Cat Food in exchange for a fair review. All opinions are our own.

Joanie, why do you have that stupid hat on?

I wants some wabbit so I am going wabbit hunting.

Suit yourself, I am going to dig into this Only Natural Pet Feline PowerFood Rabbit Dinner Cat Food

You are a clever girl Prancie.

Only Natural Pet Feline PowerFood Rabbit Dinner Cat Food is grain -free and coated with digestive enzymes and probiotics. It also has turmeric which I am a big fan of for people and pets. And it is made in the USA.

Here is Brody chomping away.

Prancie and Joanie were not the only ones to try it. Everyone got some and all 13 liked it. Sammy only got a taste because of the prescription diet he is on. Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Mom is thankful that The Great One’s baby sister arrived a week ago. We will refer to her on the blog as The New One.

Here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day based on this photo.

Years ago, before I lived in this house,
I went into the woods to find a mouse.
I came to a stop
when I spotted a mushroom top.
I was so hungry I almost took a bite
until something blue gave me a fright.
It yelled, “get away from my home”
it was not a gnome.
I apologized and got out of his turf
and now I am friends with a smurf.
When Mom was a kid, she collected these little blue creatures, so she still has a few left.
Mom also wants me to let everyone who donated to Buttons’ surgery to know she is working on those crocheted toys to send you. In case you missed her post, she will send anyone in the USA crocheted catnip toys that donates $15 to Buttons’ surgery. We know that money is tight so please share and pray. Click here.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. My favorite Disney character is ____________________.

2. If I could stay any age for life, I would choose to be age _________________.

3. _________ is my secret talent.

4. Life is like a _________.

We are joining The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfie Blog Hop.

I am also joining Stunning Keisha’s 12 amazing facts about ME that may surprise you.

1. What’s your favorite number?  5, that is the most treats Mom will give us at a time.

2. What is your dream job? Mouser, but there are no mice in this house.

3. What is something no one would ever guess about you? I like to take the phone off the hook several times a day ( my folks still have a landline- how lame).

4. A trait you have that people would be shocked to know about you? My rounded ears are from losing the tips when I got frostbite right before my folks found me.

5. Do you think aliens are real? I want to believe.I think I have seen too many episodes of The X-Files with Dad.

6. Can you use a hooded litter box? Not sure, Mom won’t buy one she says they are the equivalent of a port-a-potty.

7. Guilty pleasure? Shredding paper.

8. If the world ends (as you know it) do you want to survive? Not if my folks don’t survive.

9. Do you have any outstanding markings? My short ears. People ask if I am a Scottish Fold.
10. Favorite kitten game that you played? I can’t remember that far back.
11. Do you purr to yourself? I purr when I am eating so I guess I purr to myself.
12. Milk or Tuna juice? Both please.

Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Mom is thankful to all who donated to Button’s surgery. Also to those who shared, purred and prayed. We will keep you updated on his progress.

Mom is also thankful that her talking Sheldon still works. Do you remember him? Phoebe wrote about him here.

The Great One likes to give Peppa Pig and her family a bath in the dog’s water dish at home ( when no one is looking). So Mom thought she would be a cool Auntie and gave her a big bowl of water for them to swim in along with some facecloths for beach towels. Well, Mom went in the kitchen for a refill on her coffee and when she came back into the living room The Great One handed her a wet Sheldon, I guess she thought he wanted to go swimming too- MOL! Mom put him in a bowl of rice to dry him out and he still talks.

Here is my poem for  Sammy’s Poetry Day.

Once again I went with a haiku to go with this photo.

Quiet, relaxing
no cell phone or internet
sit back and enjoy
