It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

Hi everyone! Thank you all for the birthday wishes yesterday, I am thankful for all of you.

We are joining Book Date’s It’ Monday! What Are YOU Reading? and Comedy Plus’ Awwww… Mondays blog hops.

Joanie enjoyed her week off and is ready to review Brian Tracy’s Eat That Frog!

How am I supposed to eat frog when this book don’t tell me how to catch it or cook it? I don’t recommend it.

Sorry Joanie, I thought it was pretty good. It tells how to stop procrastinating and start making goals. It is common sense, but so few actually do it, myself included.

I always use my Barnes and Noble Mastercard at the vet so I ended up earning a Barnes and Noble gift card. I got myself a birthday gift with it- Rescued Volume 2. I loved the first one and so far , I am loving this one too. I have only had time to read the first few stories, but they were all heartwarming. One is by Allie of A Tonk’s Tail, she had a very sad start in life, but I am glad she ended up with a loving forever home.

  1. Cool! I’m so glad you were able to snag of copy of Rescued 2 with that gift card. I hope you enjoy the rest of the stories – my human was especially pleased with the ones in this volume.

  2. Frogs! One of Angel Sammy’s besties was a froggy………… “Rescued” is a super good book – we won a copy of it and Mom enjoyed reading all the stories!

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. Ms. C, my Tuesday lady, has Eat That Frog, and if i finish my work very fast and have a minute to spare, i read a page or two. It is a wonderful book.

    Rescued sounds good, too.

  4. Mom is still reading a book she started before her last get a way…it is by a new author, Christine Carbo, she found while browsing at Barnes and Noble

  5. Awww, I always enjoy coming over here to see who’s being featured. So cute.

I’m ready The Force by Don Winslow. It’s a very good read, but it’s frightening.

Have a purrfect Awww Monday. My best to your peeps. ☺

  6. I’m a fan of procrastination. Sometimes, if I procrastinate long enough, whatever needs to be done just goes away. Come see my week here. Have a great week!

  7. Those both sound like very good books and you have the best idea on how to snag them! Our Mom is trying to get through her Time Traveler’s Wife. She’s not a quitter (hardly ever!) so we know she’ll work her way to the end.

  8. I have a stack of books to read, but didn’t touch any of them over the weekend…instead, I went for long drives with The Hubby or played with the cats. And I love to read, so maybe this is just a Summertime anomaly.

  9. Great reviews. The first book reminded me of when our dog, Polly, tried to eat a toad. Their secretions are very bitter and she never tried it again. Lucky toad, she spit him out! HUGS!

  11. Both of these look like great books. I had to laugh at Joanie’s comment. Yeah, a book about eating ought to have directions and recipes. haha

Vivaldi and Ludwig, however, ask for folks not to eat the froggies. πŸ™‚

    Have a blessed evening!
