Read Me a Story

Hi everyone! June 13th was Read Me a Story Day hosted by Piglove and Gentlestitches. My hubby reads to Prancie, she only likes one book about a spider. Here is a video of their reading session, she was a little antsy because it was dinner time.

We were very sad to see some losses in the Blogosphere. Daddy Cat from Jacqueline’s Cat House had  gone to The Bridge. I pray that Mommy Cat will be OK as I am sure she is heartbroken along with his family. Daddy-Cat-Forever

And I am sure you all know that wise and handsome Merlin has also left this world at the age of 21. His Mom is starting a Kickstarter campaign for a book that is going to help bring awareness to the often overlooked black cats. I am pledging my support in memory of Merlin and my beloved Spooky. 1. Cute story session! Prancie loves hugging her favorite book and her Dad did his best to keep her focused…….maybe dinner was distracting her as you said?!?!?! That was fun!

    Hugs, Sammy

  2. Oh, that was priceless. So is THAT what Loulou is doing when she walks all over my bedtime book and rubs the pages? Hmmm….I should have known that she wanted me to read something to her other than the NYT!!!

  3. Although I’m sad I missed it, I’m very happy to hear that there’s a Read Me a Story Day! I love that your husband reads to Prancie. What a fun way to bond with your kitty. Now, if only I could get any of mine to sit still long enough for a reading session…

We are sending our purrs and prayers to all those who had to say goodbye to their beloved furbabies. Our thoughts are with them.

    • He usually reads that to her every day. We have some other kid books with cats that I got at a book sale, but this is her favorite to rub on.

  4. Hmmm…I’m with Three Chatty Cats; I am always reading, but never out loud to the cats. I see an opportunity here! And it’s sad when our beloved kitties leave us for the Rainbow Bridge; sending purrs to Daddy Cat’s and Merlin’s families.
